Chicago Med star Torrey DeVitto and her Chicago P.D. boyfriend, Jesse Lee Soffer, have split after eight months of dating. The news is shocking to fans who have watched their love story unfold on social media.
US Weekly has exclusively learned the couple is over but reportedly remain friends. A source close to both stars revealed DeVitto and Soffer are now single.
Last fall news of their romantic relationship broke after she shared a picture of the two of them getting cozy on her Instagram. Not long after the two became social media official, an insider shared with US Weekly that Soffer and DeVitto both “complimented each other.”

The actor echoed the sentiment when he spoke with the magazine about a month after his new relationship became public.
“It’s great. It’s awesome,” Soffer, who plays Detective Jay Halstead on Chicago P.D. shared with US Weekly.
DeVitto, who was previously married to The Vampire Diaries star Paul Wesley, was a little more open about the new relationship than her beau.
“It’s great, we felt like we were out in the open. It’s really great. Everything’s going so well. I’m really happy, the happiest I’ve ever been,” explained the Pretty Little Liars alum before sharing the then-couple enjoyed spending time at home watching a good movie or TV show.
As for what went wrong between them, that remains to be seen. They are both keeping quiet on ending their romance. It has been weeks since either one of them appeared on the other’s social media account. Plus, both Soffer and DeVitto, who plays Doctor Natalie Manning on Chicago Med, have each erased all evidence of their romantic union on their social media accounts.

Since both Chicago Med and Chicago P.D. have been renewed for another season, Jesse Lee Soffer and Torrey DeVitto will have to spend time together on set. They work on different shows but One Chicago is known for its massive crossover events, as well as character cross overs.
Neither are strangers to dating costars or people they work with, so they are well equipped to keep life on set professional. Soffer was previously in a relationship with his former costar, Sophia Bush. The two dated off and on for a couple of years before she left Chicago P.D.
