Please, stop what you’re doing and join me on this journey that is Zac Efron‘s episode of Room Raiders.

Y’all remember the classic MTV show where teens were abducted into a white van and had their rooms judged by someone who wanted a date? Well, 17-year-old Zac was featured on the show, and raided the rooms of 3 unsuspecting teen girls.

So let’s get down to business–what the heck is happening on this episode of Room Raiders?

Our story begins a long time ago in the year 2005. It was a simple time, a time before Zac Efron was the High School Musical heartthrob he is known as today.

Back in 2005, a 17-year-old Zac Efron was on a television show called Summerland with Lori Loughlin and Jesse McCartney. For some wonderful (most likely promotional) reason, MTV decided to feature this young lad on an episode of Room Raiders, and the rest was history.

Some fantastic person on YouTube has Zac’s entire episode recorded, which we have included in this article. So let’s dive into the strange world of Zac Efron’s Room Raiders episode.

The show starts by acknowledging their featured star, “Summerland’s Zac Efron.”

Three girls then get “kidnapped” and surprised to learn that the one and only Zac will be raiding their rooms and asking one lucky lady out on a date!

But this is where we get to the best part: his intro.

Zac compares himself to his character on Summerland, who “goes through the ladies pretty fast,” whereas Zac likes “to pick one and stick with her.” He says he loves to hang out on the beach and travel.

Young Zac says his dream girl would “look just like a younger Catherine Zeta Jones.” He then cracks a joke that he would be a younger Michael Douglas.

Although I thought the Michael Douglas reference was pretty good, it gets better when he describes his best feature.

“My best physical characteristic is probably a very pronounced gap between my teeth,” he said. They then introduce his three potential suitors: Karen, Katie, and Sarah.

Karen works in a bank, as her name would describe, and Katie is a beach bum. Sarah is the only one who is actually in high school and the most age-appropriate option for the young Zac.

The show then does the normal Room Raiders kidnapping, which now seems mildly problematic but I guess that’s why the show hasn’t been rebooted.
