A new festival has entered the villa and it is curated here in San Diego — introducing Bleached Festival!

While this Tight Knit festival is brand new to the game, Celeb Secrets wants you to be prepared and have the best experience at one of our favorite lineups this season. With the two-day event only a few weeks away, we are here to tell you what acts you absolutely CANNOT miss.

Listen: Celeb Secrets’ Bleached Fest Playlist

The inaugural festival will take place at seaside venue at Waterfront Park in San Diego, California on Saturday, August 5 and and Sunday, August 6, 2023, and will include acts like Joji, Omar Apollo, PinkPantheress, Leon Bridges and more.

Grab your tickets here and leave the rest of the planning to us, as we’re giving you a full guide on what to do and who to see. Keep scrolling to see it all and don’t forget to let us know if you’re excited for the event by either leaving a reaction at the bottom of the post or by sliding into our DMs on Instagram at @celebsecrets.

JUST A HEADS UP: Bleached Fest is an 18 years and older festival — so you must bring your government issued ID or passport. Don’t forget to bring a clear, empty water bottle for refills to stay hydrated, check their bag policy and bring a sweater. It gets cooler towards the end of the night!

For all festival updates, make sure to follow @wearetightknit on Instagram.

Day 1 – August 5, 2023

The festival doors open at noon, so if you are an early bird and want to get the full experience, or want to get front row to see your favorite bands, we would highly recommend getting there when doors open.

While we don’t have much information on the number of festival stages or festival times quite yet, we are going to give you the acts you absolutely can’t miss at Bleached Fest.

Here are our top choices for day one…

Dayglow: an alternative, indie-pop American band with vibes that make you want to dance, jump around, and have fun! You may have heard their song “Hot Rod,” if you haven’t I would start there and listen to the rest of their album Fuzzybrain!

Stephen Sanchez: the name may not sound familiar, but if you are on TikTok, you definitely know one of his songs. “Until I Found You” was a trending sound and all over our FYPs. His soulful sound caught our ears and the rest of his music did not disappoint, as its giving ~retro~ vibes. We can’t wait to see how he commands a stage!

Lily Meola: the pop singer who got her start on America’s Got Talent in 2022 is hitting the stage and we can’t wait to see what she can do without the stress of getting voted off. Her vibes are sultry; making it perfect for a seaside concert. She doesn’t have an album out yet, but has several singles to go off on and we are wondering what cover she is going to hit us with.

Inner Wave: an alternative-pop band from Los Angeles who are known for their blend of psychedelic and synth wave sounds while incorporating Jazz and Latin beats. The band’s style has really evolved throughout the years into something experimental that people resonated with. We would start by listening toAmerican Spirits and then move on to their album Apoptosis.

PinkPantheress: the pop star really taken off this year with her newest single, “Boy’s a Liar Pt.2” featuring Ice Spice — and if she shows up, we might actually lose it! We saw her live at Primavera Sound last year for the first time and her set is so much fun; not only because of her pop, dance music, but because of her interactions with fans and cute dance moves on stage. If you want to have a good time dancing and vibing, don’t miss this set.

Also, if you like PinkPantheress, make sure to also check out Aluna at Bleached — they have a similar sound you would sooo enjoy.

Remi Wolf: yet another act you don’t want to miss if you are seeking some fun and and wanting to dance. Remi Wolf’s shows are a judgement-free zone filled with wacky outfits. She makes sure to give you the best set possible thanks to her killer pipes on songs like “Photo ID” and “Sexy Villain.”

Leon Bridges: we’re predicting Leon will close out night one of Bleached, making him an absolute must-see. The GRAMMY Award-winning artist needs no introduction — once you listen to his soulful voice, you will literally be swept away by how good he really is. Need more reasons to stay till the end? Just listen to “Texas Sun” and thank us later.

Day 2 – August 6, 2023

While both days have something to offer, if we were to buy a single-day ticket to experience Bleached, it would be for day two. Doors open at noon and get ready to decide who you want to see first because this day is a tough one.

Here are our top choices for day two…

Surf Curse: a rock band whose song “Freaks” you may be familiar with since it went viral on TikTok last year. The band has amazing energy and all their songs are fun to dance along to if that is something you are looking for.

Cat Burns: a British singer-songwriter who gained popularity on TikTok by singing her favorite covers and original music. Her lyrics are powerful and relatable, especially “people pleaser” and “go.” She is one person we dare you not to miss because hearing this voice live is definitely going to be a core memory.

Baird: a man of many titles and talents — literally. He is a singer, multiracial-instrumentalist, and producer, with a multitude of many sounds that blend beautifully. His set can be unpredictable with the amount of albums he has and the sounds he creates. We can hope, but we hope he brings out Kevin Abstract for “Easy v2.”

Maude Latour: an American singer with a pop sound who we first discovered in 2020 with her single “One More Weekend” and we’ve been hooked since. Her music gives us early 2000’s Rom-Com vibes and maybe that is nostalgic, but it is fun! So go be the main character at her set!

Ethel Cain: one of our favorite artists with a powerful voice! She makes us has an out of body experience every time we see her. If you like artists like Phoebe Bridgers or any of the “Boys” from boygenius, MUNA, or Indigo De Souza, this is your girl!

Lizzy McAlpine: does she need any introduction? Lizzy went viral over her single “ceilings,” but she is much more than that. Her album five seconds flat is everything to us, and something everyone should go listen to before Bleached. This is a not a single skip album as it will have you in your feels in the best way.

Caroline Polacheck: best known for her single “So Hot You’re Hurting My Feelings,” Caroline was born to be a performer. Just watch her set and you will know exactly what we are talking about.

Omar Apollo: our favorite Latin King who won us over with singles like “Tamagotchi” and “Evergreen (You Didn’t Deserve Me At All).” He set has something for everyone and is so diverse — he gives a moment to appreciate his culture, he gives us dance, and he gives us an emotional performance. This man has a passion for performing and you can see it throughout his whole set.

Joji: From all the hype Joji has received in the last year, we believe he’ll be closing out the night and we wouldn’t want it any other way. Imagine hundreds of people singing “Glimpse of Us” at the top of their lungs in the middle of the night, next to the seaside — another moment straight out of the movies.

Whether you go one-day or two, Bleached Fest 2023 is literally the festival curated straight out of our Spotify. The diversity of artists, especially the amount of women on the lineup, is incredible and something you don’t want to miss.
